my name is kailie (like kylie) and i’m a twenty-three year old graduate student studying clinical mental health counseling. welcome to my blog!
i’m a proud believer and follower of Jesus Christ, who saved me when i was eighteen. my writing process starts with questioning how something is compatible with my faith. all of my stances in psychology and sociopolitics are rooted in the Truth. i believe reason and science are fully compatible with my faith, so i use these tools to ensure my essays are grounded in common sense and research.
not only do i write essays that attempt to reveal Truth, i write poetry that i hope demonstrate Beauty. most of my work reflects personal experiences with mental health, relationships, and struggles in faith.
a little bit about my personal life - i enjoy iced chai lattes, spending too much money on clothes, and curating music playlists. i’m currently based in the hampton roads area of virginia, known for having the largest naval base in the world and not much else. my dream career involves working with combat and sexual trauma, but i’m also open to being a homeschool mom on a self-sustaining farm.
this is where faith, psychology, and culture collide.
